Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the RTO Test mobile application and rtotest.com (the “Service”), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service does

RTO Test is a study and mock-test app for the Indian driving licence (RTO) test. We provide state-specific question banks, signboard reference material, timed mock exams, and progress tracking. Content is reviewed by certified driving instructors but passing our mock tests does not guarantee you will pass the actual RTO test.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

You are responsible for any account you create — keep your credentials secure. Notify us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, or republish the question bank or any other Service content for commercial purposes.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to bypass any technical limit of the app.
• Use the Service to mislead, harass, or harm others.
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to flood the Service with traffic or to submit form data.

We may suspend or terminate access for breaches of this section without prior notice.

4. Premium subscriptions & payments

Most features are free. Some advanced features (e.g. unlimited mock tests, offline mode for the full question bank) may require a premium subscription, processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store according to their terms.

Refunds. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by the store you bought from (Google Play or App Store) per their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your store account settings.

5. User content

If you submit feedback, ratings, partner applications, or other content to us, you grant us a non- exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use it to operate and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, its design, code, branding, and content (including the question bank, signboard illustrations, and translations) are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning. No other rights are granted.

7. Affiliate / partner program

Driving schools and instructors approved into our partner program are bound by an additional Partner Agreement which governs referral codes, commission rates, and payouts. The current per-signup commission rate is communicated at the time of approval and may be revised on 30 days' written notice.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (Google Play / Apple App Store for distribution and payments, Supabase for hosting, Resend for email). Your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the question bank reflects every recent change to state RTO rules, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any specific test outcome will follow from using the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand made by a third party arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if required by law. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [GOVERNING CITY] shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email; continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
